The E of S division of FGDP(UK) is back by popular demand. In keeping with central FGDP(UK), our aims are to improve the standard of care delivered to patients through standard setting, postgraduate training and assessment, education and research. There exists a great thirst amongst many general dental practitioners for a structured career pathway, and the FGDP(UK) provides it. As a recently resurrected division, our primary objective, is to provide practitioners the opportunity to join a study group for the MJDF examination. This exam forms the foundation level for the Faculty Career Pathway.
We also liase closely with the other two Scottish Divisions in providing contemporary courses for the dental team.
We have a small but enthusiastic committee who are determined to promote our aims and to see the FGDP(UK) grow in the east of Scotland."
